Department Overview
The Bureau of Statistics (BoS) is the official statistical organization of the
Planning & Development Board, Government of the Punjab. BoS manages large-scale
surveys, statistical databases and IT systems that support evidence-based planning and policy making.
To strengthen its IT infrastructure, the Bureau is hiring a qualified
Hardware / Network Technician (BS-16) through the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC).

Required Qualification & Experience

Academic Qualification
- Master’s Degree (1st Division or Grade-B) in Computer Science or Information Technology from an HEC recognized university; OR
- 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from an HEC recognized university.

Professional Experience
Minimum 01 year relevant experience of
hardware & desktop troubleshooting in a public or private sector organization. - Only practical / research experience after the prescribed qualification will be counted for eligibility.
Written Test & Syllabus (PPSC)
PPSC will conduct a one paper MCQ type written test of
100 marks with a duration of 90 minutes.
- Test Pattern: 100% questions will be from qualification-related subjects (Computer Science / IT, hardware, networks, troubleshooting, operating systems, etc.).
- Shortlisted candidates on the basis of written test will be called for interview as per PPSC rules.
